Kael should be geared in the lifesteal set you got from the first week (or better lifesteal gear) to be able to solo brutal campaign, and make leveling champions to 6 star easier, and is your best option as a campaign farmer while bringing important poison debuff to clan boss and dragon team. Focus on leveling food champions and bringing Kael to 6 stars, and buy masteries for Kael. The impact of the first 6 star, then the first full team of 6 stars cannot be understated. Stop bringing new champions to 5 stars, as that will barely help your account. Given your account status, I would choose Kael as first 6 star. Barring great shard luck, the first 6 star should be the starter Rare champion. The most important thing for a new account is to get a DPS champion to 6 star as fast as possible, then keep making more 6 stars for your team.

So keep Magnarr for later but do not build yet. It is not a very useful early game, but can be a good Arena AoE damage dealer for that reason. Without HP burn Magnarr is just a hard hitting champion with damage based on HP, since A2 hits hard and has an extra hit on enemies without HP burn.
